The Jonathan Charles 4 Seater Mahogany Round Pedestal Dining Table is a genuinely striking piece inspired by the Biedermeier era — a 48 inch Circular Dining Table veneered in spectacular flame mahogany, the bookmatched top creating a mesmerising kaleidoscopic grain pattern in deep chocolate and amber tones that makes this Round Dining Table as visually compelling as any piece of decorative art. The clean, architectural silhouette — a slender turned column rising from a scrolling triangular base with scroll feet — gives this Mahogany Pedestal Table a restrained, almost sculptural quality that works just as naturally in a formal dining room as it does in a grand entrance hall, a home office, or a living room where a Round Centre Table is needed. The flame mahogany veneer is the defining feature of this table — the dramatic, swirling grain pattern radiating outward from the centre of the top in a composition that is entirely unique to each individual table, making every Knightsbridge Pedestal Dining Table a genuinely one-of-a-kind piece. Seating four adults comfortably at 48 inches in diameter, this Round Mahogany Dining Table is an ideal choice for a smaller dining room or kitchen where a rectangular table would feel too large, the pedestal base giving diners generous leg room without any central leg obstruction. Whether you are looking for a Mahogany Round Dining Table, a biedermeier style Pedestal Table, or a flame mahogany centre table that works across dining, foyer, and living room settings, the Jonathan Charles Knightsbridge Collection delivers one of the most beautifully veneered round tables available today.

Jonathan Charles Fine Furniture
Jonathan Charles Fine Furniture is the vision of Jonathan Sowter, an English furniture designer who excels at the art of fine antique reproduction. They design and manufacture the highest-quality European antique replicas as well as their own unique transitional designs, which are distributed to the best shops and interior designers throughout North America, U.K., Spain, Italy, Russia and France, just to name a few.
What makes them different is their meticulous attention-to-detail and pursuit of high-quality construction. This has propelled their company growth from just ten employees in April 2004 to over 1,400 in December 2011. Their passion for detail is also reflected in their in-house brass foundry, in which their manufacture their own hardware so that when they design a new piece of furniture they can also design one-of-a-kind pulls, hinges, locks and even keys for that piece.
It is their aim to constantly expand into new markets, while continuing to be a brand synonymous with the finer things in life.
They are craftsmen
Jonathan Charles works with artisans who display a large range of skills. They take pride in their work, which is evident in their beautifully-crafted antique replicas. They go far beyond just creating furniture that resembles English classics. They employ age-old techniques, which breathe soul and lasting-quality into their products.
They are designers
Many of their inspirations come from original antiques that Jonathan discovers in his travels. Sometimes, they will reproduce them as accurately as possible, while at other times they will take a detail that they like and design a completely new piece of furniture around that feature.
Oftentimes, they will start the design process from scratch. They gather inspiration from a variety of sources – be it a classic wallpaper design, nature, classic antiques, a rare object, or jewelry.
They never design to the limitations of their factory, and have actually expanded their factory as they have developed new skills in advanced marquetry, bronze casting, hand carving and much more.
They stand for quality
They never compromise on design and would be foolish to compromise on quality. Only the finest materials are used in their furniture. They also employ inspectors that ensure technically-sound components and design throughout the process. These experts oversee production, checking in at key transaction points so that nothing is overlooked. Before an item is packaged, it is reviewed with a keen eye and must pass a comprehensive checklist by their quality control inspector.
