The Jonathan Charles 6 Seater Mahogany Dining Table brings authentic Regency grandeur to contemporary dining rooms with its classical twin pedestal design. This substantial fixed-top Mahogany Dining Table showcases exquisite crotch mahogany veneers that display the wood's most prized grain patterns in rich, swirling formations. The table's impressive 200cm length and 100cm width provide generous dining space for six to eight guests, making it perfect for family meals and entertaining. The proportions create an ideal balance between intimate dining and formal occasions, whilst the rectangular shape maximises seating arrangements. The distinctive twin pedestal base features elegant baluster columns that demonstrate traditional Regency craftsmanship. Each pedestal supports gracefully curved legs with brass-capped feet, providing both structural integrity and visual appeal. This base design allows for comfortable leg room whilst maintaining the table's classical proportions. The stunning crotch mahogany veneer showcases nature's most dramatic grain patterns, where branches meet the trunk to create swirling, flame-like figures. These premium veneers are carefully selected and book-matched to create symmetrical patterns across the tabletop, highlighting the exceptional quality of materials. Inspired by designs from circa 1820, this 6 Seater Dining Table represents authentic Regency styling adapted for modern homes. From the prestigious Jonathan Charles Buckingham Collection, it combines historical accuracy with contemporary construction techniques, creating a dining table built to last generations whilst maintaining period authenticity.

Jonathan Charles Fine Furniture
Jonathan Charles Fine Furniture is the vision of Jonathan Sowter, an English furniture designer who excels at the art of fine antique reproduction. They design and manufacture the highest-quality European antique replicas as well as their own unique transitional designs, which are distributed to the best shops and interior designers throughout North America, U.K., Spain, Italy, Russia and France, just to name a few.
What makes them different is their meticulous attention-to-detail and pursuit of high-quality construction. This has propelled their company growth from just ten employees in April 2004 to over 1,400 in December 2011. Their passion for detail is also reflected in their in-house brass foundry, in which their manufacture their own hardware so that when they design a new piece of furniture they can also design one-of-a-kind pulls, hinges, locks and even keys for that piece.
It is their aim to constantly expand into new markets, while continuing to be a brand synonymous with the finer things in life.
They are craftsmen
Jonathan Charles works with artisans who display a large range of skills. They take pride in their work, which is evident in their beautifully-crafted antique replicas. They go far beyond just creating furniture that resembles English classics. They employ age-old techniques, which breathe soul and lasting-quality into their products.
They are designers
Many of their inspirations come from original antiques that Jonathan discovers in his travels. Sometimes, they will reproduce them as accurately as possible, while at other times they will take a detail that they like and design a completely new piece of furniture around that feature.
Oftentimes, they will start the design process from scratch. They gather inspiration from a variety of sources – be it a classic wallpaper design, nature, classic antiques, a rare object, or jewelry.
They never design to the limitations of their factory, and have actually expanded their factory as they have developed new skills in advanced marquetry, bronze casting, hand carving and much more.
They stand for quality
They never compromise on design and would be foolish to compromise on quality. Only the finest materials are used in their furniture. They also employ inspectors that ensure technically-sound components and design throughout the process. These experts oversee production, checking in at key transaction points so that nothing is overlooked. Before an item is packaged, it is reviewed with a keen eye and must pass a comprehensive checklist by their quality control inspector.
