This exceptional Rococo Style Mirror showcases virtuoso carving in the manner of Grinling Gibbons, bringing the artistry of c.1700 craftsmanship to contemporary interiors. Standing at an impressive 142.5cm tall, this Large Wall Mirror creates instant drama with its rich dark brown walnut frame. The Ornate Mirror features an undulating surround of exquisitely carved Rococo scrolls that seem to dance around the plain mirror glass. Floral ornaments bloom throughout the design, while a stylised fleur-de-lys crowns the composition, adding French royal symbolism to this Statement Mirror. Every curve and detail demonstrates the extraordinary skill required to create such intricate woodwork. As a Carved Mirror inspired by an original from around 1700, this piece captures the exuberance of French Rococo design at its peak. The deep walnut finish enhances the dimensional quality of the carving, with shadows pooling in the recesses to create dramatic contrast. This Wall Mirror transforms any surface into a focal point, whether hung above a console, fireplace, or in a grand hallway. The generous scale makes this Large Wall Mirror perfect for creating the illusion of space while adding decorative impact. The plain mirror glass provides clear reflection without distraction, allowing the spectacular carved frame to take center stage. This balance between ornate frame and simple glass exemplifies the best of Rococo design principles. Perfect for French-influenced interiors, this Statement Mirror works beautifully in traditional settings or as a dramatic contrast in modern spaces. The Windsor collection from Jonathan Charles offers coordinating pieces to create a cohesive interior inspired by the golden age of European decorative arts. Built using traditional carving techniques, this Rococo Style Mirror brings museum-quality artistry to your home. The dark walnut finish adds richness and depth, ensuring this Ornate Mirror remains a treasured focal point for generations.

Jonathan Charles Fine Furniture
Jonathan Charles Fine Furniture is the vision of Jonathan Sowter, an English furniture designer who excels at the art of fine antique reproduction. They design and manufacture the highest-quality European antique replicas as well as their own unique transitional designs, which are distributed to the best shops and interior designers throughout North America, U.K., Spain, Italy, Russia and France, just to name a few.
What makes them different is their meticulous attention-to-detail and pursuit of high-quality construction. This has propelled their company growth from just ten employees in April 2004 to over 1,400 in December 2011. Their passion for detail is also reflected in their in-house brass foundry, in which their manufacture their own hardware so that when they design a new piece of furniture they can also design one-of-a-kind pulls, hinges, locks and even keys for that piece.
It is their aim to constantly expand into new markets, while continuing to be a brand synonymous with the finer things in life.
They are craftsmen
Jonathan Charles works with artisans who display a large range of skills. They take pride in their work, which is evident in their beautifully-crafted antique replicas. They go far beyond just creating furniture that resembles English classics. They employ age-old techniques, which breathe soul and lasting-quality into their products.
They are designers
Many of their inspirations come from original antiques that Jonathan discovers in his travels. Sometimes, they will reproduce them as accurately as possible, while at other times they will take a detail that they like and design a completely new piece of furniture around that feature.
Oftentimes, they will start the design process from scratch. They gather inspiration from a variety of sources – be it a classic wallpaper design, nature, classic antiques, a rare object, or jewelry.
They never design to the limitations of their factory, and have actually expanded their factory as they have developed new skills in advanced marquetry, bronze casting, hand carving and much more.
They stand for quality
They never compromise on design and would be foolish to compromise on quality. Only the finest materials are used in their furniture. They also employ inspectors that ensure technically-sound components and design throughout the process. These experts oversee production, checking in at key transaction points so that nothing is overlooked. Before an item is packaged, it is reviewed with a keen eye and must pass a comprehensive checklist by their quality control inspector.
